Job summary

George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust in the United Kingdom is seeking a GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician to join a busy pharmacy department on a permanent basis. The role involves 37.5 hours per week in a rotational pattern including late nights, weekends and bank holidays, with supervision from Lead Pharmacy Technicians and the Chief Pharmacist to deliver high quality pharmaceutical services.

Qualifications

Must be a GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician with 2 years post registration experience.
Carry out pharmaceutical technical duties under the direction of Lead Pharmacy Technicians and the Chief Pharmacist.
Provide a safe, efficient and high quality pharmaceutical service to patients and staff.
Undertake training and accreditation in technical skills as agreed with Lead Pharmacy Technicians and the Chief Pharmacist.
Supervise and manage rotational pharmacy technicians on a day to day basis.

Responsibilities

Carry out pharmaceutical technical duties in specified areas of the pharmacy department.
Support workload and workflow by supervising rotas and staff.
Contribute to maintaining high quality patient care and safe dispensing services.
Collaborate with the Lead Pharmacy Technicians and Chief Pharmacist to improve service.
