Job summary

York Hospital's Cancer Services Pharmacy team is seeking a qualified pharmacy technician to join a dynamic, supportive team and lead the daily SACT workflow. You will develop specialised skills in a senior role and work closely with healthcare professionals caring for Cancer patients.

Applicants must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council, hold a recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification, and have hospital pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• Nationally recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification and GPhC registration.
• Post-qualification hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy computer systems and a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily SACT workflow and liaise with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient supply of systemic anti-cancer therapy.
• Deliver high-quality ward-based medicines management for Cancer patients and mentor junior staff.
• Be flexible to participate in weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
