Job summary

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a higher level pharmacy support role within a small pharmacy team. You will provide technical support across the service, ensuring safe dispensing, medicines management, and stock handling, including intravenous fluids.

The role requires a Level 2 NVQ in Pharmacy Services or equivalent and a commitment to ongoing professional development. You will work independently and as part of the team under pressure in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Full NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent dispensing qualification.
• GPHC-approved level 2 pharmacy qualification including dispensing modules, or equivalent dispensing course.
• Commitment to continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Give technical support to pharmacy teams across the service, keeping tasks safe, accurate and timely.
• Support the technical side of medicines management and the accurate dispensing of prescriptions.
• Receive, store, supply, issue and distribute stock, including intravenous fluids, to wards, departments and external customers.
• Dispense in-patient and out-patient medicines: receive, label and assemble prescriptions and get them out promptly, following departmental procedures.
