Job summary

Charing Cross Hospital is seeking a Chief Pharmacy Technician – Stores to lead the centralised stores and automation-enabled medicines supply across Imperial College Healthcare sites. You will drive operational leadership, workforce development and service improvement while ensuring safe, efficient and compliant dispensing and distribution.

Qualifications

Registered Pharmacy technician with the GPhC.
Experience in hospital dispensary services or equivalent clinical setting.
Experience in change management or quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Deliver an effective medicines distribution service across hospital sites.
Ensure a flexible, responsive service to meet customer needs.
Support senior technicians and pharmacists in service delivery.
Provide technical leadership to stores staff.
Champion learning and quality improvement in pharmacy.
Audit the service against standards and review provisions.
Ensure safe medicines storage and cost-effective stockholding.
Act as systems manager for CMM, automation stock robot, automated drug cabinets and temperature monitoring systems.
