Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in Leeds is recruiting a Senior Pharmacy Services Assistant for the LGI Inpatient Pharmacy. The role is full time (37.5 hours) Monday to Friday 8.30am–5pm, with 1 hour lunch, and periodic 8pm shifts plus a 1 in 4 weekend rota.

Your duties include labelling and dispensing medicines (including controlled drugs), discharge prescriptions and inpatient orders, plus some reception and stock maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services is required.
  • Previous pharmacy experience including labelling and dispensing is essential.
  • Full-time hours with a mix of standard day shifts and periodic evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Label and dispense medicines, including controlled drugs.
  • Process discharge prescriptions and inpatient orders.
  • Some reception and administration tasks (phone handling, front desk).
  • Raise orders and receipt of products from suppliers; stock maintenance.
  • Occasional work at LGI and Chapel Allerton Pharmacy as needed.
