We are looking to recruit a highly organised, motivated, enthusiastic pharmacy assistant to join our friendly quality control team working in our MS licensed pharmacy laboratory and office. This post suits self-motivated individuals with previous GMP experience.

Working as a key member of the team you will play a major role in the day to day running and development of the service which assures the provision of safe, effective, injectable medicines for a wide range of patients including premature babies and cancer patients. The post holder will routinely be working within the microbiology laboratory, incubating and enumerating agar plates from cleanroom monitoring. They will also have the opportunity to be trained in and complete sterility testing of sterile injectables, physical environmental cleanroom monitoring and checking of unlicensed medicines.
The role requires somebody with great communication skills and positive attitude who enjoys learning and developing, sharing knowledge and experience. A reliable person who is willing to work in a cleanroom and office-based environments. The correct candidate is open and honest, with great attention to detail and accuracy, ability to follow standard operating procedures and a passion for patient centered care. The successful candidate must be a team player, promoting positive values and supporting the Trust's transformational programmes.
This provides a rare and exciting opportunity for learning and development, supported by an experienced team will provide comprehensive training for the post holder. The post holder may also have the opportunity attend off-site courses for continuous professional development.

As per the Job specification, candidates without a Pharmacy Level 2 qualification are encouraged to apply if they have the relevant experience in pharmacy service provision. This would include knowledge of Pharmacy Quality Control service delivery including but not limited to microbiological and physical cleanroom monitoring and incubation and enumeration of cleanroom microbiological monitoring plates. The salary details in this assistance would change to an Annex 21, where the successful candidate would be paid as a trainee until they obtained the Level 2 qualification.
