Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Pharmacist - Oncology / Haematology based at University Hospital Crosshouse. This is a 12-month fixed-term post to cover maternity leave.
What you will do:
You will join the Cancer Clinical Pharmacy team in NHS Ayrshire & Arran, delivering clinical oncology services to inpatients and outpatients in Ayrshire and Arran. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of clinical oncology pharmacists, providing clinical verification and enhanced roles such as non-medical prescribing within various malignancies. The role offers rotational experience in oncology and haematological malignancies.

Knowledge, training, and experience required:
Applicants should have an interest in Cancer Care and a desire to enhance clinical cancer pharmacy services. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Full training will be provided for those without prior Clinical Oncology experience. Support for obtaining a practice prescribing certificate is available. The role benefits from automated dispensing and electronic prescribing systems for chemotherapy and inpatient/outpatient prescribing.

Hours:
30 hours per week. Participation in weekend, public holiday, and extended hours rotas is required. The base site is University Hospital Crosshouse, with responsibilities including on-call, weekend, and late-night rotas. Flexibility to work over 7 days and extended hours may be necessary.
Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
A valid car licence and ownership are essential for this role.
