Job summary

Ecolab is seeking a Senior Pest Technician to join its Pest Elimination team in the United Kingdom. You will deliver pest detection, elimination and prevention solutions to a fixed route of commercial customers, including restaurants, hotels, hospitals and food processing plants.

You will lead and train a team, manage day-to-day tasks, and ensure high-quality service through regular audits and documentation.

Qualifications

• RSPH Level 2 qualification is required.
• Willingness to work on an out-of-hours rota as needed.
• Experience with pest prevention and elimination in commercial settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the District Manager with day‑to‑day management tasks.
• Lead, coach and support team members.
• Onboard and train new team members.
• Conduct Quality audits and field accompaniment reviews.
• Present at Service Excellence team meetings.
• Build effective relationships with customers and partners.
• Stay informed on product offerings and industry trends to improve service and sales.
• Use Apple devices to manage service records and pest-related documentation.
• Deliver high-quality inspection and treatment services to exceed expectations.
• Provide customers with written service records and maintenance advice.
• Apply pesticides in accordance with label directions and regulations.
• Plan routes efficiently to achieve 100% state of service.
• Submit reports and paperwork on time.

In this position, you will provide timely and cost effective pest detection, elimination and prevention solutions to an established route of commercial customers. You’ll provide brand protection to your around-the-clock customers including commercial businesses such as restaurants, hotels, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, retail stores, and food and beverage processing plants.

What You Will Do

• Assist the District Manager with day to day management tasks
• Leading, coaching and supporting the members of the team
• Onboarding and training of new team members
• Completion of Quality audits and Field accompaniment reviews for team members
• Presenting at Service Excellence team meetings
• Establish effective working relationships with a variety of customers and partner with them on best practices to identify and solve pest problems.
• Keep abreast of Ecolab’s product/service offerings and industry conditions, to enhance service and sales of pest prevention/elimination solutions.
• Use Apple technology to manage service and document structural, sanitation and pest issues.
• Deliver a quality inspection and treatment service to exceed customer expectation and specification.
• Provide customers with written evidence of service delivered and advice for maintaining pest free conditions.
• Apply pesticides in accordance with label recommendations and comply with relevant legislation.
• Plan work routes efficiently and productively and achieve 100% state of service.
• Accurately submit reports and other related paperwork as required at specified time intervals.

• Company van or prepaid travel card available for business purposes
