Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Senior Insurance Underwriter for a Randburg-based role. You will assess personal lines risks, determine policy terms and pricing, and ensure profitability of your portfolio.

You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with claims, sales, and actuarial teams to align risk strategies. The ideal candidate has at least 6 years in personal lines underwriting, strong analytical and communication skills, and relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CIP or degree).

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in personal lines underwriting.
• Knowledge of personal insurance products (home, contents, vehicle, personal accident).
• Familiarity with FAIS regulatory framework is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills; ability to manage a portfolio.
