Job summary

SGN is seeking a Senior People Partner to drive workforce strategy and organisational effectiveness in Scotland operations with hybrid work across Edinburgh, Glasgow, Paisley and other sites. The role focuses on employee relations, leadership development, and people analytics to support business goals.

You will report to the Operations People Director and help shape the People team's transformation while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and high-performing culture.

Qualifications

• Experience partnering with senior leaders to shape people strategy and workforce plans.
• In-depth knowledge of employment law, ER practices, and operational people management.
• Proven ability to lead talent management, succession planning and change initiatives.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with Trade Union reps and stakeholders.
• Commercial mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to deliver workforce planning, talent, engagement, and people strategies aligned to business objectives
• Use people data and insights to support decision-making, drive performance, and identify opportunities for improvement
• Lead talent, succession, and leadership development initiatives to build diverse and future-ready teams
• Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, coaching managers to achieve positive and fair outcomes
• Support organisational change, restructuring, and workforce transition programmes, ensuring an inclusive and people-focused approach
• Drive continuous improvement across People processes, systems, and projects to enhance the employee experience
