Job summary

EA First in the South Cambridge area is seeking a proactive Senior People Partner to lead a varied HR agenda within the CEO’s team. You will influence strategy and deliver across partnerships, workforce planning, leadership development and ER initiatives.

This true partner role encompasses project support, policy updates and management of one HR colleague, with a 16-month fixed-term contract and a salary range of £60–65k for 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Significant HR business partnering experience, ideally in engineering, technical consultancy or project-based environment.
• Confident in influencing directors, balancing strategy with hands-on delivery.
• Strong commercial acumen, experience in workforce planning and organisational change.
• Proven track record in complex employee relations and policy implementation.
• CIPD Level 7 or equivalent qualification.

Job description

This is a superb opportunity for a proactive Senior People Partner to join a fantastic organisation in the South Cambridge area.

Your role will be integral to the smooth running of the HR / People team, and you'll have a constantly varied workload, to keep you busy and challenged!

Working closely with the CEO & senior HR leadership, you'll have the influence to shape strategy as well as the following key areas:-

• Strategic partnering
• Talent & Workforce planning
• Leadership, Coaching & Development
• ER & Culture
• Performance & Reward
• Change & organisational development
• Project & Bid Support
• HR Operational areas including recruitment, benefits, wellbeing and policy / procedure updates
• Managing 1 member of the HR team

You'll have significant HR business partnering experience, ideally in engineering, technical consultancy or another project-based environment. You'll be confident influencing directors, comfortable moving between strategy and hands-on delivery, and skilled at building trust with leaders.

You'll also bring strong commercial acumen, experience of workforce planning and organisational change, and a sound record in complex employee relations.

Ideally you’ll have CIPD Level 7, or equivalent.
