Job summary

One Manchester is recruiting a Senior People Business Partner to lead the People Business Partnering function and translate business priorities into effective people plans. You’ll collaborate with senior leaders to influence workforce strategies, improve performance and enhance the employee experience.

You will shape policies, support organisational change, and drive engagement while ensuring legal compliance and best practice across the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Chartered CIPD membership.
  • A degree or relevant qualification in HR, Business, Psychology or a related discipline.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations cases and supporting organisational change.
  • Proven ability to coach, influence and challenge leaders to improve performance and achieve business outcomes.
  • Experience developing people plans and using workforce data to drive service improvement.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong project management capabilities and experience delivering strategic HR initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • - Lead and develop the People Business Partnering team, ensuring a consistent, high-quality partnering service across the business.
  • - Act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, providing strategic people guidance, support and challenge.
  • - Lead on complex employee relations matters, organisational change programmes, restructures, redundancies and TUPE transfers.
  • - Use workforce data and insight to identify trends, improve performance and inform decision-making.
  • - Champion colleague engagement initiatives and support the delivery of the People Strategy.
  • - Develop and review people policies, procedures and frameworks to ensure legal compliance and best practice.
  • - Deliver management workshops and coaching to build leadership capability and effective people management practices.
  • - Oversee job evaluation and salary benchmarking processes, ensuring consistency and fairness across the organisation.
  • - Establish and monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement within the People Business Partnering service.

About the role
