Job summary

Checkout.com in London is seeking a Senior People Data Analyst to spearhead the People Analytics portfolio. You will own data pipelines, semantic layer, and data products, enabling AI-driven decisions across the organisation.

You’ll design end-to-end solutions, partner with Business Partnering and Finance, and deploy ML models on a cloud-native stack. This senior IC role combines hands-on analytics with strategic stakeholder engagement in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a data analyst or analytics engineer in a data-enabled environment.
• Strong SQL skills with hands-on BigQuery or equivalent cloud data warehouse.
• Experience building data pipelines with dbt or a comparable transformation tool.
• Experience delivering dashboards and data products end-to-end for business stakeholders, ideally in Looker.
• Excellent communication skills—able to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
• Collaborative, enablement-focused mindset: you build for self-service, not dependency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the continuous improvement of the People Analytics data ecosystem—including pipeline quality, semantic layer, and data products.
• Own the full product development lifecycle for assigned stakeholder groups—from requirements to design, pipeline development, Looker delivery, and enablement.
• Design, build, and deploy ML models and AI-powered data products on a cloud-native stack.
• Conduct advanced analytics to explain past events and forecast future trends; partner with leadership on strategic questions.
• Drive data fluency across stakeholder groups through demos, documentation, training, and self-service tooling.
