Job summary

Smart Pension is seeking a proactive Project Manager to lead change delivery for the Smart Pension Master Trust (SPMT). You will oversee scope, planning, delivery and communication across multi-disciplinary streams, ensuring on-time, within-scope outcomes aligned to business strategy and regulatory requirements.

You will coordinate governance, manage readiness, monitor risks and benefits, and report progress to senior leadership while enabling a smooth transition to BAU operations.

Qualifications

• Project management experience.
• Familiarity with pensions legislation and regulatory frameworks is desirable.
• Qualification in PRINCE2/APM/PMP is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Sets direction through project governance and oversees all elements of the project delivery.
• Align project scope and risks with core change drivers and the UK strategy for high-quality member outcomes.
• Manage readiness for propositional, operational, regulatory and technology change.
• Coordinate resources and baseline standards to meet readiness criteria before go-live.
• Maintain project documentation, RAID logs and detailed plans for concurrent projects.
• Track milestones and provide early visibility into risks to senior management.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and third parties for smooth transition to BAU.
