Job summary

Just Group plc is seeking a Senior Pensions Administrator in London or Reigate (hybrid 50%), a role focused on Defined Benefit schemes and data preparation for member option outputs. The role supports transitions from exclusivity through onboarding, embedding data structures into processes and ensuring accurate outputs for clients and members.

The ideal candidate has extensive DB pensions knowledge and can work independently under tight deadlines, with strong organisational and communication

Responsibilities

• Produce consistent benefit specification documentation for new transactions.
• From exclusivity or contract signing, ensure data is in place within the member factors tool to enable member options to be produced.
• Assess data, including pricing assumptions, to create initial data templates for the transition team.
• Update Flo to reflect contractual delivery dates for member option deliverables.
• Support assessment of each new scheme with Post Transaction Services Manager for data cleanse needs.
• Support GMP Equalization work by preparing templates when required.

Job description

This role would suit a Senior Pensions Administrator, with experience of multiple DB/Defined Benefit Schemes and looking to move away from member facing work or to gain exprience on the life insurer side.

Location: London or Reigate (Hybrid - 50%)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours

Purpose

This is a key role within the Defined Benefit Solutions area to support the operational set up of new transactions from exclusivity stage which includes data preparation to enable production of factor based member option outputs. The role holder will also be responsible for providing strong technical knowledge which ensures that transitions and member benefit data structures are embedded into our process and beyond.

Through consistency and structure in our set up, we maximise efficiency, provide clarity to all areas involved in the transition, implementation and onboarding teams which ultimately support our service commitment to our clients and members.

Key responsibilities

• Produce consistent benefit specification documentation for all new transactions.
• From exclusivity, or contract signing stage for small schemes, ensure data is in place within the member factors tool to enable member options to be produced.
• Assessment of data, which includes pricing assumptions where required, to create initial data templates for the transition team.
• Through analysis of contractual terms, update Flo to reflect contractual delivery dates for member option deliverables
• Working alongside Post Transaction Services Manager, to provide or support assessment of each new scheme to understand complexity and support needs for the data cleanse activity
• Support GMP Equalization work by preparing templates when required.

• Excellent Defined Benefit technical knowledge
• Ability to work on own and to tight deadlines, maintaining exceptional standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Good verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good analytical and issue resolution skills.
• An understanding of project management would be beneficial, but not essential.
• An understanding of DB pensions and/or Bulk annuities, pension scheme administration requirements and systems would be beneficial, but not essential.
