Job summary

LCP’s pensions actuarial department in London is growing as we expand our client base and take on new projects for our existing clients. Ideally you will divide your time between pensions actuarial and pensions risk transfer (PRT) work, but we are flexible on the split depending on your strengths and interests.

You will join a team of over 150 people, advising trustees and sponsors on DB pensions, valuations, member options and PRT deals, with opportunities to learn from colleagues and progress

Qualifications

• Qualified pensions actuary with experience in UK pensions actuarial consulting.
• UK pensions technical knowledge; review valuation and member options calculations and pensions accounting.
• Awareness of current issues in the UK pensions industry.
• Ability to draft clear communications and presentations.
• Ability to delegate tasks to less experienced team members, explaining the wider context.
• Commercial awareness with budget consideration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate actuarial calculations with junior teams and review advice.
• Broking insurance transactions in Pensions Risk Transfer and manage projects.
• Join other specialist teams (longevity, GMP, CDC) as opportunities arise.
• Attend industry networking events.
