Job summary

Trafalgar House is seeking an experienced Pension Calculations Analyst to join the Business Solutions Team in the UK. The role focuses on turning complex scheme rules into clear calculation specifications and ensuring alignment with the operating model. You will mentor junior staff and lead multiple calculation projects.

Qualifications

• Detailed understanding of DB calculations; retirement, transfer and death calculations.
• Strong technical Defined Benefit and good Defined Contribution knowledge, plus understanding of current pension legislation.
• Five years+ prior experience in pension calculations analysis.
• Five years+ prior experience in pension administration.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel (with ability to create formulas), Word.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the Trafalgar House methodology and process for calculation development from specification through testing, documentation and sign-off.
• Develop subject matter expertise and mentor staff in the calculation development process.
• Analyse and produce detailed calculation specifications for build and test, including results writebacks and automation aspects.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, client project analysts, and operations teams on implementations and changes.
• Prepare estimates for tasks with Project Manager/CRM and assess risks and opportunities.
