Job summary

Mushkil Aasaan in London is seeking a Senior Peer Support Worker to provide tailored support for individuals experiencing emotional distress, drawing on lived experience to foster hope and recovery.

You will supervise two junior peers, chair allocation meetings, ensure safeguarding, maintain records, and collaborate with the manager to improve services within the NHS-aligned transformation project.

Qualifications

• Lived experience of mental health difficulties and the ability to use lived experience safely.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a high standard of written English.
• Strong IT skills including MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Line management of the team, ensuring referrals are responded to in a timely manner.
• Chair fortnightly Peer Support Team allocation meetings and report issues to management.
• Maintain accurate client records and assist in quarterly service reporting.
• Attend supervision and staff development sessions and support the team’s wellbeing.
