Job summary
Jobtailor is seeking an experienced environmental professional to lead peat survey projects and develop sustainable management strategies across UK infrastructure initiatives. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, prepare proposals and bids, and liaise with clients and regulators to deliver integrated services.
The role requires extensive peat knowledge, experience in EIA chapters, and strong mentoring abilities with travel across the UK.
Qualifications
- Degree-qualified in a relevant science subject (peat/soil science, geology, geography or environmental science).
- Experience undertaking peat surveys and preparing technical reports.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery of peat surveys and develop sustainable management strategies.
- Support and lead client work development, prepare proposals and contribute to bids for multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
- Liaise with clients, regulators, subcontractors and internal disciplines.
- Collaborate with environmental scientists, engineers, planners and other professionals to provide integrated services.
- Maintain professional relationships that secure repeat business.
- Comply with health and safety policies and review health and safety plans on sites.
