We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PCB Layout Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will support our existing hardware engineers and take responsibility for in-house PCB design and layout activities.
This important role takes responsibility for the complete PCB design process, from assisting with requirements and mechanical board definition, to delivering high quality PCB layouts, suitable for volume production.
Day to day activities include:
We are seeking an individual who has proven PCB design and layout experience, with strong knowledge of IPC standards for symbol and footprint creation. Someone who is proficient in schematic capture and has experience with New Product Development processes. Have experience in rigid PCB constructions, and preferably also with flex-rigid or flex. The ideal candidate will have a background in projects involving high-speed digital, complex analogue and RF circuitry. Familiarity with PCB fabrication, supplier capabilities, design for manufacture and cost considerations. Ability to perform design calculations, simulations and prototyping. In addition, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Experience of Cadence suite of software would be an advantage.
