Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to join a growing, multi-site finance team. You will own the end-to-end monthly payroll for a sizeable workforce, working closely with HR and Finance, and using Sage Payroll to ensure accurate, timely payroll processing.

The role offers hybrid working and clear progression toward Payroll Manager as the function expands. As the payroll leader, you will manage changes, reconciliations, and employee queries while driving improvements in payroll

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll experience across monthly cycles.
• Payroll for 300+ employees with accuracy and timeliness.
• Proficiency with Sage Payroll software.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail in all payroll tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end monthly payroll process across multiple sites.
• Process payroll for 300+ employees accurately and within deadlines.
• Use Sage Payroll to manage and process payroll.
• Ensure compliance with PAYE, NI, pensions and statutory requirements.
• Handle starters, leavers, changes, deductions and adjustments.
• Resolve payroll queries from employees and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure accurate payroll data.
• Contribute to developing and improving payroll processes.
