Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a growing, multi-site organisation to recruit a Senior Payroll Officer to join the finance team. This role owns the end-to-end monthly payroll for a sizeable workforce, using Sage Payroll and ensuring PAYE, NI and pension compliance.

Hybrid working with progression toward Payroll Manager. You will work closely with HR and Finance, processing changes, reconciliations and responding to payroll queries, with a view to developing the payroll function as the

Qualifications

• Strong end-to-end payroll experience.
• Experience processing payroll for 300+ employees.
• Sage Payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Genuine interest in progressing into payroll management.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for the end-to-end monthly payroll process.
• Managing payroll for employees across multiple sites.
• Processing payroll accurately and within deadlines.
• Using Sage Payroll to manage and process payroll.
• Ensuring compliance with PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and statutory requirements.
• Managing starters, leavers, changes, deductions and adjustments.
• Completing payroll reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
• Responding to payroll queries from employees and internal stakeholders.
• Working closely with HR and Finance to ensure payroll information is accurate.
• Supporting the development and improvement of payroll processes.
• Helping to develop the payroll function as the workforce grows.
