Job summary

Wade Macdonald are seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to join an established business services client in Reading. You will manage end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of clients, ensure PAYE, RTI, pensions and statutory deductions are accurate, and provide senior support to the payroll team in a hybrid working setting.

With strong payroll bureau background and attention to detail, you will handle escalations, support year-end processes, and help drive process improvements while delivering

Qualifications

• Experienced payroll professional with a strong payroll bureau background.
• End-to-end payroll processing expertise including PAYE, RTI, pensions.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of end-to-end payroll processing for an allocated portfolio of customers.
• Processing PAYE, statutory payments, starters, leavers, pensions, deductions and attachment of earnings.
• Completing RTI submissions and supporting year-end payroll requirements and statutory documentation.
• Investigating and resolving payroll queries.
• Acting as a senior point of contact for colleagues when complex payroll queries or escalations arise.
• Providing hands-on daily support to the payroll team, sharing knowledge and helping colleagues resolve issues.
• Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and ensuring payrolls remain accurate and compliant.
• Developing strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Supporting new customer implementations, including data validation and parallel payroll runs.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, accuracy and efficiency across the payroll function.
