Qualifications

• Experience in outsourced payroll, payroll bureau or accountancy practice.
• Experience processing multiple payrolls and pay frequencies.
• Knowledge of UK payroll laws: PAYE, RTI, pensions, auto-enrolment.
• NHS/healthcare/public sector payroll experience is advantageous.
• Strong client relationship skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for an allocated client portfolio.
• Process payrolls across multiple frequencies and meet deadlines.
• Act as main client contact and provide payroll guidance.
• Handle starters, leavers, changes, and absences.
• Calculate deductions and pension contributions.
• Complete RTI submissions and HMRC reporting.
• Prepare pension files for providers.
• Review payroll input and resolve discrepancies.
• Process BACS payments and maintain records.
• Produce payroll reports and documentation.
• Keep up with UK payroll legislation and communicate changes.
• Support teammates with payroll queries and improve processes.
• Develop strong client service and identify process improvements.
