Job summary

JGA Recruitment Group Ltd. is seeking an experienced payroll professional in Glasgow to deliver end-to-end payroll services across a diverse client portfolio. The role focuses on accuracy, compliance and timely delivery of payrolls with strong client relationship management.

You will manage complex payroll activities, support onboarding of new clients, and coach junior team members, while staying up-to-date with HMRC legislation and statutory requirements. This is a hybrid role based in Glasgow.

Qualifications

• Proven experience processing UK payroll for various clients.
• Experience processing payrolls for organisations with 100+ employees.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end UK payroll, HMRC legislation and statutory requirements.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships.
• Previous experience reviewing payrolls, supporting colleagues or mentoring junior team members would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate end-to-end payroll services across a diverse portfolio of bureau clients.
• Manage complex payroll activities and resolve client queries while maintaining compliance.
• Review payroll calculations, reports and BACS payments to ensure accuracy and audit compliance.
• Coordinate the successful onboarding and implementation of new payroll clients.
• Maintain and improve payroll procedures, documentation and client process guides.
• Provide day-to-day support, guidance and coaching to junior members of the payroll team.
• Help manage team workflows to ensure all payroll deadlines are achieved.
• Keep up to date with payroll legislation and implement changes where required.
• Support payroll system testing, upgrades and continuous process improvements.
