TurnerFox Recruitment is recruiting for a well-established local business in Sutton-in-Ashfield to hire an experienced Senior Payroll Clerk / Payroll Officer for a fully on-site role. You will manage a weekly payroll for 300+ employees, ensuring accuracy and timely processing week after week.

The ideal candidate will have strong end-to-end payroll knowledge, experience with Sage Payroll, and a proven ability to meet tight deadlines while handling timesheets, deductions and changes efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume weekly payroll processing.
• Proven experience running a weekly payroll for 300+ employees.
• Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge including deductions and pensions.
• Experience with Sage Payroll or similar software.
• Ability to meet strict weekly deadlines with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process a weekly payroll of up to 300+ employees from start to finish.

• Process starters, leavers and employee changes.
• Calculate holiday pay, sickness and statutory payments.
• Process PAYE, NI, pensions and other payroll deductions.

Are you experienced in running a busy weekly payroll from start to finish?

TurnerFox Recruitment is recruiting for a well-established local business looking for an experienced payroll professional to join its friendly payroll and HR team.

This isn't a data-entry payroll position. We're looking for someone who is already confident managing the pressures and deadlines of a high-volume weekly payroll, processing pay for up to 300+ employees.

The role of Senior Payroll Clerk / Payroll Officer will include:

• Processing a weekly payroll of up to 300+ employees from start to finish
• Checking timesheets, hours, overtime, bonuses and deductions
• Processing starters, leavers and employee changes
• Calculating holiday pay, sickness and statutory payments
• Processing PAYE, NI, pensions and other payroll deductions
• Resolving payroll discrepancies and employee queries
• Completing payroll reconciliations and reports
• Ensuring payroll is accurate and completed to strict weekly deadlines

What we're really looking for Senior Payroll Clerk/ Payroll Officer:

• Proven experience of high-volume payroll processing
• Experience of running a weekly payroll
• Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge
• Experience of Sage software
• Good knowledge of PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, pensions and deductions
• Confidence dealing with timesheets, overtime and variable pay
• Excellent accuracy and the ability to work to tight payroll deadlines
• Sage Payroll experience would be advantageous, but strong payroll experience using other systems will also be considered

You may currently be working as a Payroll Administrator, Senior Payroll Administrator, Payroll Officer, Payroll Clerk, Payroll Coordinator or Payroll Assistant.
