Job summary

TurnerFox Recruitment is seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to manage a busy weekly payroll from start to finish for 300+ employees in Sutton-in-Ashfield. This is a hands-on, on-site role within a friendly payroll and HR team.

You'll check timesheets, hours, overtime, bonuses and deductions, run PAYE and NI, process starters and leavers, and reconcile payrolls to meet strict weekly deadlines. Sage Payroll experience is advantageous, but other systems will be considered.

Qualifications

• Experience processing a weekly payroll for 300+ staff.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and meet weekly payroll deadlines.
• Strong accuracy and data integrity in payroll processing.

Are you experienced in running a busy weekly payroll from start to finish?

TurnerFox Recruitment is recruiting for a well-established local business looking for an experienced payroll professional to join its friendly payroll and HR team.

This isn't a data-entry payroll position. We're looking for someone who is already confident managing the pressures and deadlines of a high-volume weekly payroll, processing pay for up to 300+ employees.

Responsibilities

• Processing a weekly payroll of up to 300+ employees from start to finish
• Checking timesheets, hours, overtime, bonuses and deductions
• Processing starters, leavers and employee changes
• Calculating holiday pay, sickness and statutory payments
• Processing PAYE, NI, pensions and other payroll deductions
• Resolving payroll discrepancies and employee queries
• Completing payroll reconciliations and reports
• Ensuring payroll is accurate and completed to strict weekly deadlines

What we're really looking for

• Proven experience of high-volume payroll processing
• Experience of running a weekly payroll
• Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge
• Good knowledge of PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, pensions and deductions
• Confidence dealing with timesheets, overtime and variable pay
• Excellent accuracy and the ability to work to tight payroll deadlines
• Sage Payroll experience would be advantageous, but strong payroll experience using other systems will also be considered

You may currently be working as a Payroll Administrator, Senior Payroll Administrator, Payroll Officer, Payroll Clerk, Payroll Coordinator or Payroll Assistant.
