Job summary

TurnerFox Recruitment is recruiting for a well-established local employer in Sutton-in-Ashfield for a Senior Payroll Administrator / Payroll Officer. This is a fully on-site role offering around £30,500 for 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible elements.

You will run a busy weekly payroll from start to finish, processing up to 300+ employees, checking timesheets, overtime, bonuses and deductions, handling starters and leavers, and delivering accurate payroll reports on time every

Qualifications

• Proven experience of high-volume weekly payroll.
• Experience running a weekly payroll (up to 300+ employees).
• Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge and accuracy.
• Knowledge of PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, pensions and deductions.

Responsibilities

• Process a weekly payroll of up to 300+ employees from start to finish.
• Check timesheets, hours, overtime, bonuses and deductions.
• Process starters, leavers and employee changes.
• Calculate holiday pay, sickness and statutory payments.
• Process PAYE, NI, pensions and other payroll deductions.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee queries.
• Complete payroll reconciliations and reports.
• Ensure payroll is accurate and completed to strict weekly deadlines.

Are you experienced in running a busy weekly payroll from start to finish?

TurnerFox Recruitment is recruiting for a well-established local business looking for an experienced payroll professional to join its friendly payroll and HR team.

This isn't a data-entry payroll position. We're looking for someone who is already confident managing the pressures and deadlines of a high-volume weekly payroll, processing pay for up to 300+ employees.

The role of Senior Payroll Administrator / Payroll Officer will include:

• Processing a weekly payroll of up to 300+ employees from start to finish


• Checking timesheets, hours, overtime, bonuses and deductions


• Processing starters, leavers and employee changes


• Calculating holiday pay, sickness and statutory payments


• Processing PAYE, NI, pensions and other payroll deductions


• Resolving payroll discrepancies and employee queries


• Completing payroll reconciliations and reports


• Ensuring payroll is accurate and completed to strict weekly deadlines

What we're really looking for Senior Payroll Administrator / Payroll Officer:

• Proven experience of high-volume payroll processing


• Experience of running a weekly payroll


• Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge


• Good knowledge of PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, pensions and deductions


• Confidence dealing with timesheets, overtime and variable pay


• Excellent accuracy and the ability to work to tight payroll deadlines


• Sage Payroll experience would be advantageous, but strong payroll experience using other systems will also be considered

You may currently be working as a Payroll Administrator, Senior Payroll Administrator, Payroll Officer, Payroll Clerk, Payroll Coordinator or Payroll Assistant.
