Job summary

Adaptable Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting an experienced Senior Payroll Advisor for a charity client in Liverpool. This permanent role offers a salary of £32,000-£35,000 with hybrid and flexible working from Chorley or Huyton offices, plus support towards CIPP Level 5.

You will own the payroll function, liaise with our outsourced provider RSM, and collaborate with HR Operations to deliver accurate payroll and timely statutory submissions.

Qualifications

• Significant payroll experience.
• CIPP qualified, or working towards Level 5.
• Experience coordinating payroll across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Own the coordination of weekly and monthly payroll submissions across multiple locations.
• Act as the primary liaison between Best Lives and the outsourced payroll provider, RSM.
• Ensure payroll data is accurate, complete and submitted within deadlines.
• Review payroll information and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Process payroll adjustments, advances and off-cycle payments.
• Manage employee payroll queries with timely responses.
• Complete year-end activities and support HMRC/pension submissions.
• Produce payroll reports and management information as required.
• Build strong relationships with managers and HR Operations.
• Identify and lead improvements to payroll processes and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the coordination of weekly and monthly payroll submissions across multiple locations
• Act as the primary liaison between Best Lives and our outsourced payroll provider, RSM
• Ensure payroll data is accurate, complete and submitted within agreed deadlines
• Review payroll information and resolve discrepancies or queries promptly
• Process payroll adjustments, advances and off-cycle payments
• Manage employee payroll queries with clear, timely responses
• Complete year-end activities and support statutory submissions to HMRC and pension providers
• Produce payroll reports and management information as required
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with managers, colleagues in HR Operations, and Payroll Provider
• Identify and lead improvements to payroll processes, systems and service

• CIPP qualified, or working towards Level 5, or open to studying towards it with our support
