Senior Payroll Advisor
Join Lockton as a Senior Payroll Advisor supporting the Senior Payroll and Benefits Manager and working with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Work with 2 senior payroll advisors to manage the accurate and timely end-to-end processing of 3 UK payrolls.
- Handle BAU benefit activity for a headcount of approximately 2,400.
- Act as backup to the Senior Manager, including audit activity.
- Support overseas payroll BAU processing and approvals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to harmonise payroll processes and documentation across Europe.
- Maintain and develop payroll statistics.
- Coordinate with HR Business Partners, Admins, HR Ops team, Finance, People Solutions, and Reward Team.
Qualifications
- Able to lead and assign tasks, requesting updates from team members.
- Organised and focused on delivering consistent quality and accuracy.
- Experience in payroll processing, data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Prerequisites:
- Experienced in-house payroller in a busy payroll environment.
- Experience overseeing team members and ensuring delivery of work.
- Hybrid schedule: prepared to attend the office 3 days per week.
- Prepared to run payroll system functions outside of hours (before 8am or after 6pm) on working-from-home days where users are out of the system.

- PayE payroll (~2,200) and 2 LLP (non‑PAYE) payrolls: Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Malta via local bureau.
