Job summary

ASOS is seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our team in London, managing end-to-end payroll for multiple countries. You will ensure timely, compliant payroll processing, act as a training and escalation point, and drive improvements with cross-functional partners.

We value accuracy, strong numeracy, and collaboration across PX, Finance, and Legal to maintain data integrity and support our inclusion goals. This role is based in-office in London.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in payroll processing and administration across UK and/or international payrolls.
  • Experience with in-house payroll systems, Workday preferred.
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation, tax, pensions and compliance.
  • Experience managing end-to-end payroll cycles and resolving complex queries.
  • Exceptional accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to lead, coach and develop a payroll team.
  • Strong collaboration with PX Operations, Tax, Finance and third-party providers.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for multiple countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance each month.
  • Act as escalation point for day-to-day queries within the payroll team.
  • Train the wider payroll team to ensure best-practice and reduce errors.
  • Collaborate with Tech to implement payroll changes into systems.
  • Coordinate with PX, Finance, Treasury and Legal to ensure accurate employee data and inputs.
  • Support DE&I strategies within payroll operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement to automate manual processes.

People is at the heart of what we do, and this role plays an integral role to ensure that all ASOSers no matter where they are based in the world, are paid accurately, compliantly and on time. This role we deputise for the team leader when they are on leave and be a point of escalation within the team to support with day-to-day queries and training team members.

The Details
  • Working with wider PX Shared Service team & internal stakeholders to ensure payroll is processed on- time and compliantly each month
  • Manage end-to-end in-house payroll processing for multiple countries, and ensure any changes in local legislation and picked up and administered across the systems
  • Be an escalation point for the payroll team on day-to-day queries
  • Training the wider PX team to provide best practice experience and reduce errors
  • Contribute and support the continuous improvement of payroll systems seeking out opportunities to automate manual processes for greater efficiency and ensuring they underpin our Company values.
  • Co-ordinate with the Tech teams to ensure that any payroll changes are implemented successfully into the system.
  • Collaborate closely with PX, Finance, Treasury and Legal teams to ensure accurate employee data and payroll inputs.

  • Ensuring payroll processes are conducted efficiently whilst maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Qualifications

This role will suit an experienced Payroll professional who has been working in house and managing end to end payroll cycles. We're looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, the right behaviours and attitude, and a genuine eagerness to learn and keep improving. You'll be someone who is able to manage a full end to end payroll cycle, work and train the wider payroll team, and ensure that everyone across ASOS is paid on time and accurately every month. You'll thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment while supporting our ambition to become the number one destination for fashion-lovers globally.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in payroll processing and administration, ideally across UK and/or international payrolls in a fast-paced environment.

Experience within an in-house payroll system - Workday preferred

Strong understanding of payroll legislation, tax, pensions, and compliance requirements

Experience managing end-to-end payroll cycles and resolving complex payroll queries
