Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Deputy Clinical Director for Pathology and Laboratories to lead the directorate alongside the Clinical Director. The post holder will drive patient-centred, efficient services, work to meet national and local KPIs, and contribute to transformation as the hub of the South 4 Pathology Partnership.

You will provide visible leadership to staff, collaborate with the Divisional Director and Management Team, and participate in cross-trust

Qualifications

• FRCPath or equivalent qualification required for senior leadership in pathology.
• Specialist training in other pathology/laboratory areas is desirable.
• Ability to lead and support leadership of others within a pathology setting.
• Understanding of management roles in NHS pathology and willingness to engage in management.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership to the pathology and laboratories directorate.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Director to meet national/local KPIs and standards.
• Drive transformation and service delivery as hub of South 4 Pathology Partnership.
