About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Passive Fire Protection Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fire stopping and passive fire protection, with a deep understanding of UK regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices. This role involves accurate cost estimation, project planning, and technical assessments for fire protection solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for passive fire protection projects, including fire stopping, fireproof coatings, fire doors, and compartmentation.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to assess project requirements.
- Conduct site surveys to evaluate fire protection needs and provide expert recommendations.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with UK fire safety regulations.
- Stay up to date with relevant fire protection standards.
- Utilise estimating software to generate precise quotations and tender submissions.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams and support business development efforts.
- Ensure all estimates align with budget constraints and project timelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in passive fire protection estimating, specifically fire stopping.
- Strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to interpret drawings and site surveys to compile rates and prepare bills of materials.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving license (preferred).
