Job summary

mbf is seeking an experienced Paraplanner in Taunton for a hybrid role, supporting Financial Planners and Administrators with technical and research expertise. You will prepare robust suitability reports and contribute to strategic financial planning across pensions, investments and protection.

The role suits a candidate with strong paraplanning experience, a CII Level 4 Diploma, and a drive to progress within a growing, client-focused business.

Qualifications

• Solid paraplanning experience within a financial planning environment.
• CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and protection.
• Experience producing detailed suitability reports and supporting complex financial planning cases.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Financial Planners and Administrators to deliver a seamless client experience.
• Provide technical support across pensions, investments and protection.
• Prepare clear, accurate and compliant suitability reports and recommendations.
• Assist with developing financial planning strategies and complex client cases.
• Carry out technical and product research using approved tools and resources.
• Review fact finds, risk profiles and supporting documentation for gaps or inconsistencies.
• Utilise financial planning software, cashflow modelling tools and CRM systems.
• Keep up to date with FCA requirements, taxation developments, legislation and changes across the financial planning market.
• Contribute ideas and improvements to processes and share knowledge with colleagues.
