Job summary

Ortus PSR is seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join the Taunton team. This is a highly technical paraplanning role that works closely with Financial Planners to develop robust financial planning strategies and produce clear, compliant suitability reports.

You will use cashflow modelling and research across pensions, investments and tax planning, while reviewing client records and supporting complex cases. A Level 4 Diploma and strong numbers in FCA guidance are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a paraplanner in financial planning or wealth management.
• CII Level 4 Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions and investments.
• Experience producing detailed suitability reports and handling complex cases.
• Ability to interpret FCA requirements and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Work with Financial Planners to develop suitable financial planning strategies.
• Produce clear, technically accurate suitability reports.
• Use cashflow modelling and scenario planning to illustrate outcomes.
• Research pensions, investments, protection and tax planning.
• Review fact-finds and risk profiles to identify gaps.
• Provide technical input and challenge recommendations.
• Support complex cases and documentation for new business.
