Job summary

Together in Cheadle is seeking an experienced litigation professional to join our in-house Legal Team. You will proactively manage a high-volume portfolio of litigation matters within a regulated financial services environment.

The role is suitable for a Senior Paralegal, Legal Executive or Newly Qualified Solicitor looking to broaden their litigation skills, with supervision and development support across the team.

Qualifications

• Experience managing litigation matters within a financial services environment.
• Experience personally handling and progressing litigation files, including strategy, case management and outcomes.
• Strong working knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules.
• Experience managing a substantial caseload of litigated matters.
• Strong drafting skills and experience preparing court documents and litigation correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of litigation matters from pre-action stage through to final resolution.
• Progress day-to-day litigation strategy, progression and outcomes across allocated matters.
• Prepare pleadings, witness statements, applications, disclosure and other court documents.
• Monitor court deadlines and ensure procedural compliance.
• Prepare concise case summaries, risk assessments and recommendations.
• Support settlement discussions and dispute resolution strategies.
• Assist with possession claims and enforcement of security.
• Work closely with internal business stakeholders.
• Produce and maintain litigation management information, reporting and trend analysis.
• Support supervision, development and quality assurance of junior colleagues.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
• Support the implementation and use of legal technology and AI-enabled tools within the litigation function.
