Together is seeking an experienced litigation professional to join our in-house Legal Team in Cheadle. You will proactively manage a high-volume portfolio of customer legal claims arising from volume litigation, often with support and supervision based on experience.

The role involves collaboration with Complaints, Risk, Compliance, Recoveries and Operations to maintain high standards. You will also supervise and develop junior colleagues, monitor MI and data trends, and help drive process

Qualificações

• Experience managing litigation matters in a financial services environment.
• Hands-on experience progressing litigation files, including strategy, case management and outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
• Experience handling a substantial caseload of litigated matters.
• Strong drafting skills and ability to prepare court documents and litigation correspondence.
• Ability to analyse legal, commercial and operational risks and provide practical recommendations.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across teams.
• Background in process improvement or optimisation within legal workflows.
• Previous in-house experience.
• Experience with mortgage litigation, possession proceedings or recoveries litigation.

Responsabilidades

• Managing a portfolio of litigation matters from pre-action to final resolution.
• Progressing day-to-day litigation strategy and outcomes for allocated matters.
• Preparing pleadings, witness statements, applications and court documents.
• Monitoring court deadlines and ensuring procedural compliance.
• Preparing concise case summaries, risk assessments and recommendations.
• Supporting settlement discussions and dispute resolution strategies.
• Assisting with possession claims and enforcement of security.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders across the business.
• Producing and maintaining litigation MI, trends and insights.
• Supervising and developing junior colleagues.
• Contributing to process improvement and operational efficiencies.
• Supporting the use of legal technology and AI-enabled tools in litigation.
