Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join the Community Paediatric Occupational Therapy Team in Amersham. You will deliver universal, targeted and specialist interventions for children with EHCPs and manage your own caseload.

You will work alongside colleagues in Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, health, education and social care, contributing to service development and training.

Qualifications

• Essential: RCOT registration and recognised Occupational Therapy degree.
• Essential: Health Professions Council Licence to Practice.
• Essential: continuing professional development in working with school aged children.
• Desirable: good presentation skills and supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own complex caseload of children and young people with various conditions, using specialist clinical skills to provide assessments and interventions.
• Lead on training, supervision of students and therapy assistants, and contribute to service development.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams including Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, health, education and social care.
• Design and deliver training to parents and practitioners and support team meetings.
