Job summary

HCRG Care Group's Children's Community Health Team in Surrey seeks a Senior Occupational Therapist to lead specialist assessments and therapy for children with developmental needs. You will co-create care plans with families and professionals, and deliver care in homes, schools, nurseries and clinics with hybrid working.

You will require HCPC registration, post-registration paediatric experience, and a driving licence with business-use cover.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration required and active.
• Post-qualification paediatric experience.
• Postgraduate training in child development preferred.
• Knowledge of ASD/ADHD or related neurodevelopmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Complete detailed assessments and diagnoses, co-producing treatment plans with children and families.
• Explain complex clinical information clearly to families and carers.
• Work with families and professionals to build children's independence and life skills.
• Provide tailored interventions and training, including equipment for home and school.
• Deliver care across homes, schools, nurseries and clinics.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies.
• Prioritise goals for children with complex conditions and manage therapy blocks, discharges and referrals.
• Apply safe manual handling and adapt practice to families' cultural and linguistic needs.
• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities, complete mandatory training and document findings.
• Write high-quality reports for EHCPs, reviews and other professional documentation.
