Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Charge Nurse for the Paediatric Emergency Department at Southend. This permanent, part-time post is 27.3 hours per week with a salary of £49,387 per annum (pro rata).

The successful candidate will lead the ED team, coordinate staff and resources, and work alongside the PAU and Neptune Ward to deliver high-quality paediatric care. Applicants should hold RSCN or RN with current NMC registration, SSSA, APLS/EPLS, and paediatric emergency

Qualificações

• RSCN/RN with current NMC registration.
• Completion of SSSA training.
• Current APLS/EPLS.
• Completion of a Paediatric Emergency Care course or willingness to undertake.
• Trauma course or willingness to undertake.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the paediatric ED environment and patient care during shifts.
• Coordinate staff, resources and workload.
• Oversee appraisals and sickness within the team.
• Act as Nurse in Charge/shift co-ordinator to ensure safe, high‑quality care.
