Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a Paediatric Senior Staff Nurse (Band 6) at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, up to 37.5 hours per week. The post requires a registered children's nurse with active RSCN, ready to lead within a new paediatric department in our A&E.

You will assess, plan and evaluate care, provide clinical leadership, mentor pre-registration students, and drive quality improvements in emergency paediatric care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Child with active registration
• NST 307 or equivalent
• Postgraduate certificate or diploma or equivalent
• Essential IT skills (EITS) or equivalent
• PILS/EPALS/APLS/NLS/ALS training

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care within the remit
• Provide clinical leadership to ensure effective patient care and resource use
• Mentor, teach and supervise pre-registration students and healthcare assistants
• Participate in audits and care pathway reviews and maintain standards in A&E
