Job summary

South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Band 7 Paediatric Dietitian to join a busy Community Nutrition & Dietetics Service in Barnsley on a part-time permanent basis.

The role involves managing a varied paediatric caseload, including CMA, selective eating, nutrition support and gastroenterology, with clinics, group work and occasional home visits. You will lead a small team, supervise students and contribute to CPD and service development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with professional registration.
• Commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
• Strong communication and collaboration within MDTs.
• Ability to manage complex paediatric dietetic caseloads efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day dietetics within the clinical area and manage a caseload.
• Provide high-level dietetic assessment and intervention for paediatric conditions.
• Lead and supervise dietetic staff and train student dietitians.
• Collaborate with MDT members to deliver patient-centred care plans.
• Deliver education/training and contribute to service development.
• Support service improvements and maintain clinical governance standards.
