Job summary

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust in Kent is seeking a Band 7 Highly Specialist Paediatric Dietitian to lead nutrition services in the acute hospital setting, managing a caseload of in-patient paediatrics.

The post holder will provide expert paediatric dietetic advice, education and support to families, carers and partners across hospital and community settings, coordinating care with the multidisciplinary team to support best outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications

• Deliver day-to-day paediatric dietetics care in an acute hospital setting.
• Autonomous decision-making about specialist paediatric care and management.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert and specialist paediatric dietetic advice, education and support to families, carers and key partners in both hospital and community settings.
• Lead dietary assessment and management for a designated paediatric caseload in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to service development and provide training within the department and to wider health care teams.
