Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a senior paediatric dietitian to lead a complex inpatient and outpatient caseload across nutrition support, enteral feeding, gastroenterology, food allergies and infant feeding. You will work closely with the paediatric MDT and supervise junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• BSc Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics approved by the British Dietetic Association.
• Postgraduate paediatric dietetic qualification(s) or experience.
• HCPC registered dietitian.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex inpatient and outpatient caseload across paediatric areas.
• Provide dietetic care in nutrition support, enteral feeding, gastroenterology, food allergies and feeding problems.
• Collaborate with paediatric MDT including consultants, nurses, health visitors and SLTs.
• Lead on audit and service improvement, including resource use and staff wellbeing.
• Supervise and mentor registered and student dietitians.
• Involve in student training and facilitation of learning.
• Travel between Trust sites to support cross-bay dietetic team.
• Contribute to regional networks across the Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB.
