Job summary

Formula E is seeking a senior Global Freight & Logistics leader to drive strategic planning and budget oversight from our London HQ while directing on-site race logistics worldwide.

You’ll lead international freight, manage contracts and vendor performance, and ensure safety, compliance, and sustainable targets are met across mega-events, with travel to race weekends worldwide on a hybrid basis in London.

Qualifications

• Mega-events logistics experience including global freight planning and mega-event execution.
• Strong working knowledge of ATA Carnets, Dangerous Goods, Known Consignor, and global customs procedures.
• Assertive problem-solver who communicates directly and holds teams and suppliers accountable.
• Full clean driving licence with forklift licence/experience and willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead main race freight planning, contract lifecycle management, and budget oversight for cost optimization across logistics accounts.
• On-site event execution: manage paddock setups, material flows, and contractor performance at race venues.
• Support high-value contract negotiations, define scope and SLA/KPI frameworks, hold suppliers accountable.
• Enforce compliance with international customs, site safety standards, and Formula E sustainability targets.

Job description

Acting as an operational extension of the Paddock & Logistics Director in the UK, you will balance commercial strategy and financial governance at our London headquarters with high‑stakes, hands‑on execution on‑site at race venues worldwide.

The Role:

• Global Freight & Logistics Strategy: Lead main race freight planning, contract lifecycle management, and budget oversight to drive cost‑optimisation across logistics accounts.
• On‑Site Event Execution: Manage paddock setups, material flows, and contractor performance on the ground, serving as a senior escalation authority for operational disruptions.
• Commercial & Vendor Governance: Support high-value contract negotiations, define scope and SLA/KPI frameworks, and hold third‑party suppliers accountable to operational commitments.
• Risk, Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to international customs regulations, site health and safety standards, and Formula E's sustainability targets.

What we're looking for in you:

• Mega-Events & Logistics Background: Extensive experience in global freight logistics, international shipping, and mega-event execution, with a strong preference for an engineering foundation or motorsport operations experience.
• Regulatory Expertise: Strong, practical working knowledge of ATA Carnets, Dangerous Goods compliance, Known Consignor standards, and global customs procedures.
• Assertive & Sharp Leadership: A "switched‑on" problem‑solver who thrives under live event pressure, communicates directly, and confidently holds internal teams and external suppliers accountable.
• Licences & Mobility: Full clean driving licence, forklift licence/experience, and full flexibility to travel internationally for sustained periods across race weekends.

This is a hybrid role and you'll be required to do 3 days a week in our Hammersmith London office
