Job summary

Blackfield Associates is seeking a Senior Packaging Technologist to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation. You will lead packaging projects, drive NPI, supplier changes, tooling changes and material updates within a highly regulated environment.

Reporting to the Technical Packaging Manager, you will deliver qualification, validation, and line trials while guiding cross-functional teams across production, engineering, quality and supply chain.

Qualifications

• Experience as Packaging Technologist or similar role.
• Hands-on packaging in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, components and processes.
• Experience managing packaging equipment or material changes.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Packaging Technology qualification such as PIABC Level 5 Diploma in Packaging Technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging projects from concept to implementation.
• Manage packaging change controls and ensure timely execution.
• Lead packaging qualification, validation and line trials.
• Investigate deviations and CAPA to closure.
• Support continuous improvement in packaging operations.
• Produce technical documents, reports and validation protocols.
• Provide technical guidance to internal teams and external partners.
• Support GMP compliance and audit activities.
• Drive improvements in packaging processes and performance.
