Job summary

gap personnel is seeking an experienced Packaging Technologist to own packaging development across branded and retailer own-label products. You will manage packaging data, specifications and supplier relationships to deliver successful launches and continuous improvements.

The role involves leading packaging development, reviewing specifications, coordinating artwork and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within packaging, technical or food manufacturing.
• Good understanding of packaging materials and specifications.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage packaging throughout the product lifecycle and ensure specifications are accurate.
• Lead packaging development for new products, changes and improvements.
• Maintain master product data and approve packaging information with suppliers and customers.
• Coordinate artwork approvals and ensure production dates are met.
• Develop relationships with suppliers to identify innovative packaging solutions.
• Ensure packaging compliance with legislation and internal standards.
