In The News is seeking a Senior Packaging Technologist to join a leading food manufacturer in Greater Manchester. You will deliver packaging expertise across the business, driving sustainability, cost reductions, and quality improvements.

The role focuses on flexible packaging and corrugate, with a strong emphasis on EU packaging legislation and a fast-paced project pipeline. 12-month fixed-term contract with opportunities for progression within the group.

Qualifications

• Packaging experience within flexible packaging and corrugate.
• Understanding of EU packaging legislation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach.

• Ability to hit the ground running and work at pace with multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver packaging expertise across the business to ensure compliance.
• Execute development projects to meet sustainability, cost reduction and quality goals.
• Ensure packaging quality and performance meets expectations.
• Support projects requiring packaging expertise across the business.
• Create packaging briefs for existing and new innovation pipeline.
