Job summary

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths & English grade D or above or Level 1 functional skills
• Level 2 QCF Diploma in Clinical Healthcare Support or Level 2 NVQ in Healthcare Health & Social Care
• Able to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills at interview assessment
• Level 2 QCF Diploma in Clinical Healthcare support or
• Level 2 NVQ in Healthcare Health & Social Care or

Responsibilities

• Will have the knowledge and skills to provide the fundamental care needs for individual patients under the direction and supervision of the registered practitioner
• Caring and communication with kindness and compassion
• Nutrition and Hydration support
• Pressure Area Care
• Collect specimens (routine bodily fluids only)
• Moving and handling
• Documentation including food & fluid charts and outcome sheets. Environmental maintenance
• Performing care in line with risk assessments and care plans
• Ensure all clinical rooms are stocked up with appropriate clinical forms and patient information sheets
• Assist with the preparation of medical notes to facilitate the running of clinics.
• Escort to other departments (except theatre)
• Completion of accident / incident forms
• Promote person centred values and provide support for patients wellbeing and fulfilment
