Job summary

The Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Health Care Assistant to join the outpatient team. The role requires a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between sites is expected to cover am and pm clinics.

The post is based at Chippenham Community Hospital, not at The Great Western Hospital, and you will work under supervision to deliver fundamental patient care within a safe environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths & English at grade D or above or Level 1 Functional Skills in Literacy & Numeracy
• QCF or NVQ Level 2 in a health related subject
• Able to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills at interview assessment.

Responsibilities

• Support patients in the out-patient department as part of a care team.
• Carry out delegated duties under supervision following care plans.
• Ensure patient safety and maintain high standards in a safe environment.
